A Lifelong Passion for Movement

Dr. Kathy’s interest in chiropractic care and movement health started early. Growing up in an active family, she spent countless hours cross-country skiing, running, swimming, and water skiing. Watching her father manage back pain with chiropractic careand seeing how movement played a key role in his recovery sparked her curiosity about the connection between movement and wellness.

Her athletic background continued through university, where she studied Human Kinetics at the University of Guelph and competed as a distance runner. A personal experience with sacroiliac joint pain during university reinforced her belief in chiropractic care and ultimately led her to pursue her Doctor of Chiropractic at the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College, graduating in 1993.

Building a Practice Rooted in Movement

In 1996, Dr. Kathy opened her first practice, Cameron Chiropractic Clinic, in Georgetown. After 10 successful years, she rebranded and relocated the clinic to better reflect her lifelong belief that movement is key to recovery and wellness. That is how Move Activity & Motion Clinic was born, a space where patients are encouraged not just to heal, but to move forward stronger than before.

Today, her clinic continues to be a trusted destination for those searching for a chiropractor near them in Georgetown and the surrounding Halton Hills area.

As the owner and chiropractor at Move Activity & Motion Clinic, Dr. Kathy works closely with patients of all ages and stages. From athletes to expecting mothers, she helps build personalized care plans that fit their needs and lifestyles. Her philosophy is simple: movement is medicine.

Through adjustments, mobility coaching, posture corrections, and practical advice, Dr. Kathy helps patients overcome injuries, manage chronic pain, and adopt movement habits that lead to long-term health. As she puts it:

"There is no ‘I can’t do it’—just ‘I can’t do it right now."

Overcoming Challenges & Leading by Example

Dr. Kathy deeply understands the importance of staying active, especially when life presents physical and hormonal challenges. Over the years, she has worked through her own athletic injuries and, more recently, embraced strength training as a key part of navigating menopause. A recent sprain temporarily set her back from some of her favourite ways to move—but she leaned into the same rest, recovery, and preventative strategies she shares with her own patients.

She knows that setbacks are part of the journey. But with the right mindset, support, and a personalized plan, they can be overcome.

In fact, Dr. Kathy recently completed a 10km open water swim—placing fifth in her age group. It's a powerful reminder that, with the right support system and commitment to recovery, you can continue doing what you love at any stage of life.

Her message to patients is simple yet powerful:

“There is always a way to move—whether it’s running, biking, swimming, or skiing. I’m here to help you find it.”
